LOST NEW YORK

19 APRIL - 29 SEPT, 2024

Behold a bygone New York! This exhibition invites you to explore the landmarks, vistas, pastimes, environments, monuments, communities, and modes of transportation that once defined this city. "Losses" include river swimming, high-wheel bike riding, elevated railways, the original Penn Station, the old Croton Reservoir, the Chinese Theater, Seneca Village, the Central Park Hooverville, the fake window decals of the 1980s, and Bowling Green's monument to King George III.

STRANGERS WELCOME - JOHAN CRETEN

Perrotin is pleased to announce Strangers Welcome, a continuation of Johan Creten's exhibition Le Coeur qui déborde (The Overflowing Heart) at the remote Abbaye de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue in France. The Paris-based sculptor will introduce his colourful, mysterious creations and gilded bas-reliefs to New York, presenting viewers with his eclectic metaphors on the human condition.


 


In Brooklyn

AANIN, I SEE YOUR LIGHT - NICO WILLIAMS

31 MAY - 18 AUGUST, 2024

With prismatic beadwork and large-scale iridescent jingles, First Nations artist Nico Williams (Anishinaabe, b. 1989) transforms the Brooklyn Museum into a place to play, explore, and celebrate Anishinaabe ways of being. Aaniin means both “hello” and “I see your light” in Anishinaabemowin, making the title of this interactive installation a greeting and an invitation to join in. 




 

Outside

WE ARE BEAUTIFUL - LINA MONTOYA @STAPLETON ESPLANADE 18 MAY,2024 - 25 MAY,2025

We Are Beautiful represents diversity, celebrates multiculturalism in New York City, especially on Staten Island. It consisted of 4,950 multicolor butterflies attached to the metallic railing by the water at Stapleton Waterfront Park. This installation is part of La Isla Bonita Series and Festival, which intends to beautify public spaces with the collaboration of community members. Discover more
