Culture Lab is a non-profit arts advocacy center in Long Island City founded by artists in 2019. The organization strives to support the arts, children’s services, education, the environment, and entertainment. In 2023, Culture Lab welcomed six artists as part of its Emergence Residency Program. The winter residency program allows up to six new artists or companies a space to develop and showcase their work.
Currently, fine artists–Jonathan Lev, Jean Foos, Sharon Taylor, & Annalisa Ladicicco– take residence at the Long Island City location.
This program uses an open-door policy towards community volunteers and artists looking for an opportunity to exhibit. Artists are welcome to submit their artwork for consideration during most of their exhibitions.

Are you a young artist looking to join a collective of fellow creatives? State of Wonder is a rotating team of New York-based artists who want to celebrate their work untethered by the bounds of a traditional gallery setting. All the artists present their unique disciplines in nomadic exhibition spaces.
Expect live music, performances, vendors, and an open bar to create an inviting atmosphere for both the artists and their supporters.
