1. KODA Peace-Building Residency

KODA offers an artist residency program for two mid-career, female-identifying and/or non-binary artists who create conceptual and socially engaged work. The Fall 2025 residency will span from August 1-October 31, 2025. The program is placed under the theme of Peace-Building. KODA is a Brooklyn-founded nomadic social practice nonprofit arts organization focusing on conceptual mid-career artists ingrained in social justice. KODA offers survey exhibitions as well as tailor-made and community-based artist residencies, through dedicated collaborations with socially engaged partners. The nonprofit serves the community with contemporary art events and outreach to strengthen arts education. 2. SVA's Artist Residency Programs

SVA’s Artist Residencies offer artists, designers and creative thinkers time, space and a supportive community in which to develop ideas and focus on their artistic direction, with summer programs on campus in New York City, as well as year-round in online formats. In addition to our time-honored studio residencies, a variety of innovative professional immersion programs provide opportunities for artists to explore new areas of social and technological practice and engage critically within their field. 3. LGBTQ+ Visual Artist Residency 2025 by Velvetpark Media
Location: Crown Studios, Brooklyn, New York
Duration: Six-week residency
Application Deadline: April 13, 2025

Velvetpark's 2025 Artist Residency will be awarded to two artists, One for a 6 week term (July - August) and another for a 4 month term (September - December.) Throughout the residency you will have a dedicated live/work studio space to explore, develop, and refine your project. The studio is housed in Crown Studios in Brooklyn, New York, a floor of professional artists and those working in the creative profession. Please keep in mind that the studio space is 114 sq ft. – 14’ x 8’, with 12’ ceilings, large 6’ x 6’ window). Applications are open to LGBTQ+ artists across the United States. Artists working in various mediums are invited to apply.

4. PASS Open Call: Performing Arts Residency at Snug Harbor
Location: Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, Staten Island, New York

Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden (Snug Harbor) is excited to announce its annual open call for the Performing Arts Salon Saturdays (PASS) artist residency and performance program. Snug Harbor is soliciting applications to select four (4) residencies* that will support the creation and development of new works in dance, music, theater, and multi-disciplinary performance. Selected artists have access to live and work in one of our historic cottages, with studio space available in our Dance Center. At the end of each residency, artists share their work with the community in a culminating work-in-progress performance. Performances have taken place across our 83-acre campus: in the Dance Center, Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, and in various gardens and meadows. The primary goals of PASS are to provide time, space, and support to artists in the development of their work. PASS is a unique, sought-after opportunity offering space for living, creating, and presenting new performance work in New York City. Snug Harbor is proud of its role as an arts incubator for artists to explore new dimensions in their practice.
