There are two categories – Fashion & Design and Fashion & Culture – and three winners per category. The prize is unrestricted cash, and winners also get publicity and endorsement from industry leaders. This is a rare chance for immigrant artists in fashion (designers, stylists, photographers, etc.) to gain significant support.

The Cavendish Arts Science (CAS) Fellowship is a year-long program (Oct 2025–Oct 2026) that brings an artist into Cambridge to work closely with physicists and scientists. It’s a fully funded fellowship: the fellow receives a £10,000 stipend, rent-free accommodation and meals at Girton College, a £10,000 production budget for new work, and up to £3,000 travel support. Artists of any medium and nationality can apply through an international open call; no prior science experience is required. The goal is to encourage playful, experimental art-science projects and collaborative learning. Selected artists will spend at least 6 months (up to a year) in residence in Cambridge, developing work that bridges art and physics.

The Cuttyhunk Island Artists’ Residency offers week-long fall sessions (Sept 2–9 and Sept 11–17, 2025) for visual artists seeking focused creative time. This small island residency (limited to 12 artists per session) provides an “inspirational setting removed from the distractions of daily life.” Residents stay together in a historic inn, use the island as their studio, and enjoy three prepared meals a day by a chef. It’s a tight-knit experience: you’ll have uninterrupted studio time, peer learning, and new inspiration from the coastal surroundings. Participants often build camaraderie over shared meals and island walks. Full and partial fellowships (subsidies) are available to help offset the modest application fee.
