Open Call for Performers: “Behave As If God Exists”

In addition to the traditional showcase of art and installations, Clio Art Fair’s upcoming editions will introduce a special performance program titled “Behave As If God Exists.” This thought-provoking title encourages to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, humanity, and morality.

"Man is a rope tied between beast and Overman, a rope over an abyss. A dangerous crossing, a dangerous wayfaring, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous trembling, and a dangerous halting. What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not an end!"

- Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche’s words, the performance call questions artists on the evolving nature of ethics and spirituality in an era where artificial intelligence challenges human identity. The program aims to push the boundaries between faith and technology, tradition and progress, human consciousness and digital existence.

Themes Explored in the Performance Program:

  • The shifting role of human agency in an AI-driven world.

  • The influence of technology on religious and moral frameworks.

  • The coexistence of tradition and innovation in shaping the future.

This open call invites performance artists from various disciplines, including experimental theater, movement-based arts, spoken word, and conceptual performances, to participate in a groundbreaking artistic dialogue. Don't miss your chance to apply, click here.
